Part of the JCB Powertrain organisation, the JCB Drivetrain Systems brand now more clearly reflects the  brand proposition of the main JCB group of companies  and offers the opportunity to leverage it`s strength and recognition in the international marketplace.

Based in Wrexham the company produces 140,000 components per annum including transmissions and axles for machines in the 40kW – 200kW range with axle loadings between 2t and 15t. Customers include the JCB machine divisions as well as third party equipment manufacturers in a variety of sectors such as construction, agriculture, forestry, mining, aviation and industry.

DSL is unique in that complete drivetrain packages incorporating JCB engines,  transmissions, axles, and a variety of JCB components  are offered affording other mobile equipment OEM`s the opportunity to take advantage of JCB`s vast experience in powertrain integration for modern off highway equipment Nigel Harding is General Manager responsible for developing new business and working with customers on their bespoke requirements; 

JCB Drivetrain Systems modifies existing componentry for customers to give them better economies of scale and lower unit costs. Alternatively we can engineer completely new products for them for a particular application. Many of our products are not even used in JCB machines; in fact a significant chunk of our business is external to the JCB group so we are totally focussed on providing the right solution for our customers; whatever industry, whether it be a bespoke driveline solution or an individual component”.
